I rate Brevofield "excellent" because I have been playing it for 10+ years and have never gotten bored with it. Sure it's wide open and sure, they are not many traps or water holes. But you know what? The fairways usually give you a good lie and -- here'w the best part of Brevofield -- the greens are absolutely second to NONE! Plus, some of the greens are very tricky. If they are mowed short they are fairly fast and tend to break more than you would think. If you play this course by the honest rules of golf and shoot par or better you are an excellent golfer. A big bonus is that the owner and staff are great folks. One of the Superintendents used to work at Pinehurst #5 and others and he has a lot to do with the greens at Brevofileld, plus others on the staff really know what they are doing. So don't be fooled by the wide open course. Tee is up and have a ball!

Hacker delight. No challenge other than dodging balls hit onto your fairway by other golfer

Good layout , and the fairways and greens are in good shape. There are not a lot of hazards to impair your game. The slope of the course is somewhat troublesome.

Overall, very good course, and worth a trial game.
