Winding Creek Golf Club in Thomasville is an 18-hole municipal course that is one of the most affordable rounds in the area. It is a regulation-length layout that measures 6,367 yards from the tips. The design is a true target-golf test that is player friendly enough for beginners but will also challenge more advanced players. The golf course is perched atop one of the highest points in Davidson County. From elevated tees and greens you can enjoy dramatic views as well as some intimidating shots. It's a golf course that will most likely have you using every club in your bag. Though there is plenty of variety, the course isn't too formidable for high handicappers. In addition to the golf course, Winding Creek also has a putting green and driving range that you can use for warming up.

I paid only $30 with cart for a Sunday morning round & so I was amazed at the turf, sand and green quality. The friendly employee who checked me in gave me a very helpful yardage book with hole diagrams. A local resident who plays the course often offered to play with me and served as a guide. My only bone to pick was that the paths from green to tee sometimes were not labeled clearly - had I been alone I might have had trouble finding the next tee in 2 or 3 places. A short but challenging and fun course, can't beat the price.

For me, it is about the money. I am looking for a course with true rolling greens that isn't too expensive. On those counts, Winding Creek is the best in the Triad area.

It is also nice that it is easily accessible for my friends that live in different areas. It is off of Business 85 making it very close to both I-
    85 and I-40.

There are a couple blind shots, so playing it once or twice certainly helps; and it is a touch short for above average drivers... but for someone that shoots 80 to 100, it is a GREAT course for the price. Above average drivers can certainly play the back tees for a different experience.

It is always in good shape and many of the holes can be played in a variety of ways giving it some good risk/reward shots that make it fun.

this course is well taken care of. i am a member there and this is much appreciated. course is a little short and i hit a lot of irons off the tee, but it is a position type course. keep your ball in play and you can score well
