People operating the course do not oversee the course at all. No starter, no marshal to keep play moving and dress code is not enforced. Played last week and took five and one half hours to complete the round. Saw group of golfers with jeans and tee shirts on. Group in front of us had over three holes open in front of us. If you want to spend all day to play a round this is the course for you. Carts will stop if you go off the cart path and you have to back up and return to the cart path. DO NOT TAKE ME WRONG, I know sometimes it is wet and you need to stay off wet areas, BUT I SEE MOST OF THE DAMAGE BEING DONE BY THE GROUNDS CREW!!They leave damaged area all over. Need new management.

Worst golf facility in the State of North Carolina!

City of Gastonia has a bad reputation and had no idea what is taking place at this facility… anything illegal is the name of the game!

Absolutely the worst managed operation in the United States!

    Terrible golf facility

    Managed by a course supt.

    Awful condition

Much better when owned and operated by the City of Gastonia. A PGA Professional did an outstanding job!

The City of Gastonia offers nothing but red necks and common trash to the golf course, if you wanted to play.

Consider relocating to a town or city as far away from Gastonia as possible!

I am giving this course a 4.5 rating, based on the fact that this is a municipal course. It is a short course, but is in very good shape, and the greens run fast and true. For the money, you cannot beat it. Is is Quail, no, but it is a top municipal course for the money.

Let’s put it like this....2019 County Am 1st round one person shot under par. This course is short yes, but you better have a good short game if you bomb it off tee. Tough up and downs when you miss the greens, which are small and is the defensive wall. The Par 3’s are also very good. When the greens are fast, that’s the best time to play. For the $ you can’t beat this for a round of golf any day of the year.

Only plays a little over 6100 from the back tees. The course is small and cramped up. Somewhat of a shooting gallery in some spots. Power lines all over the back nine. A few of the tee boxes need a little work but surprisingly the greens are very good for a city municipal course. The local golfers are friendly and staff is too. It's not a bad place to play for the money.
