The venerable Gene Hamm designed Echo Farms Golf & Country Club back in 1974, but ownership made a number of improvements to the golf course in 1995 including upgrading the greens to bentgrass, and Ian Scott-Taylor further improved the course in 1998. Echo Farms Golf & Country Club is set on an old dairy farm amid a residential community and a large nature preserve.
I agree with Sam, it's a nice course that is in great shape all year round. The layout isn't anything special, but they have some great holes. Watch out for holes 7 and 9. If you are on pace to shoot a great score on the front, those two hole may derail your chances. If you can, play the back first, then the front. Anyways, a good course to play if you're in Wilmington.

A great course by all means! It's in fantastic shape, the greens nearly always roll like glass (the exception is after aeration, but they even give you a discount after they've done that!). Very affordable. It doesn't have that typical "Country Club" atmosphere either, so I love bringing my son and daughter to play here. If you're in Wilmington, make sure to stop by and play it!
