This facility is like a Resort, but best conditioned course and infrastructure than any other course we play. I played there in early July and again on Oct. 14, 2017.

Read their rates carefully though; they show separate $18 rate for carts at the bottom of their 'rates' page on their web site.

I thought we were playing for $50 senior rate on Saturday, but they said it was $18 more for a cart and that the senior rate (age 62) wasn't valid on weekends.

We will definitely go back....but not on a weekend. We drove from the Raleigh area and the course is worth the drive.

The course was very nice and challenging and would play there in a minute except the members are territorial and they our not newcomer friendly. As we were playing, one of the pro shop managers group which he was playing with, were hitting balls while we were still range and nearly hit me and this was after we told them they could play in front of us and rudely rejected the idea. Also, as we were on the 18th green, the were still hitting onto the green and making rude remarks and comments towards us. I will never go back to this course and only recommend it if you like balls almost hitting you and remarks being made towards you. We only saw this group twice once on 15th and 18th.

Tough and challenging. Just what you want from a golf course. It keeps you coming back and makes you a better golfer in the process.

Course is still somewhat immature, but, what a layout! You will never believe you're in eastern NC. There are many contrasts among the 18 holes, and they're tough, but fun to play. Burt, the head professional, is always very accomodating and friendly.
