Played here 6-16-14 and there have been great improvements since the last time i played there. Every time i play there, it seems as if they are making great strides. Greens were beautiful and the fairway was tight and firm. Rick Morton the the club pro put a grip on one of my clubs in less than 5 mi. And the price was un beatable. For the price, you wont find a better course in town. But if you don't mind paying 50-70$ then have at it elsewhere. But the beers cold, greens are firm and the staff is always friendly. I love it and i been play golf for over 13yrs.

This is by far the worst golf course in the area. The fairways are hard as a rock, probably why it's called rock creek, and they have hardly any grass on them, it's like hitting off of hard pan. The greens aren't bad but they definetly are not great. The sand traps are packed down like concrete. The pro shop is just a hole in the wall with a cash register. The driving range is a joke. The hitting area is like hitting out of your yard that hasn't been mowed for a month. I'll never go back, I will go to Wilmington or New Bern to golf before ever going back to Rock Creek.

As a home owner in Rock creek I can tell you I don't bother playing on this greedy mans course. At $80.00 a month membership after paying $500.00 up front I would expect the amenities to be rock solid, no pun intended. We had a fish kill here several months ago and do you think the course owner cleaned anything up? NO! he left hundreds of fish to rott in the sun while the buzzards had a feast for 2 weeks. from what I understand from one of the new home owners down the road, the greedy old man expects him to clean up the lake shoreline because he has a house on the lake...... Keep in mind, the lake belongs to the golf course who also charged us $10.00 to fish when ever we went, not the home owners. Lets not talk about the food.....If you can get anyone to do anything outside of frozen burgers and hot dogs here, good luck!
Now, the golfing.... Nothing special, The tees are worn out but if you like the game it wont matter, don't bring your own golf cart, you have to pay for theirs. The pro shop hasn't got half the supplies needed to run a good course, and the attitudes are awful, that's why I golf on Camp Lejeune base, AWESOME place and everyone is friendly there!
Amazing how greed can kill a wonderful golf course. He should sell the place, of course this is just my personal view and opinion on what I've seen for the past 8 years here.

I played here on 3-23-13 and was shocked as to how bad this course is being maintained. I have played here for over 30 years and a course that was once known to have the finest greens around is now just a goat track. The tee boxes are nothing more than a brick with a little torn up dirt on top. The fairways have very little grass to hit off of and the greens don't have one bit of green grass. Given it's the end of winter here, but this place has gotten BAD. I won't be going back. There also isn't anyone monitoring the pace of play, we waited on every single shot all day. They should rename the course to Rock Bottom, but that is where this course is now. Of course, this review is just all my OPINION.
