the course itself was ok , we booked a hot deal for $12
The fact that the price was $12 was a little too cheap to pass up , wish I did , the course itself was fair , fairways had some grass and the greens were a little slow , but that natural for summer time play . What really got to me was the fact that they had a sign in the club house stating " due to sanitary reasons , there will be no drinking water available on the golf course " . We played on the hottest day of the year thus far with 95 degree temps ,. I find this a little extreme and thus I will not be playing here again !!!!
the course is very interesting
staff is very kind but the course is not
that is very fun
Need of repair, but good value
Quarry Hills course needs a bit of repair. My father-in-law had played there many years ago, and he spoke very highly of it. It was not in the same shape he remembered it. All things considered, it was a fine value round if you just want to get out on a course.
Positives:
The staff was cordial and on point.
The back nine were in decent shape.
The course layout is really beautiful, reminded us of another Ellis Maples-design at Indian Valley in Burlington.
In general, the greens were in good shape.
Good value.
Quick play
Negatives:
The front 9 fairways were pretty rough; there were many dead patches or dirt patches.
The 9th hole.
Great price for this challenging course
All greens had quite a bit of poanna, putts would tend to hop sometimes, course has great potential, fairways were hard with not much grass, but we moved ball in the fairways so that was ok. You would hit the middle of the green and the ball would roll to the back which I was not used to with my shots. But Staff was very nice and I liked the course, greens were very fast on downhill putts and you could get yourself in some bad places. I will definately play course again for the $25 that I paid. Thanks again golfnow. Tim
my new favorite in the area!
although its that time of year where the grasses are changing course was giving good lies and greens rolled well. my son and i had a great time and even took a pic at the signature hole.
Good Course and an Excellent Value !
We picked up and excellent price on GN, so decided to try this course. We played on a cooler day so the course was not busy. The guy in the pro shop was super friendly and gave us all the info on the course. They had pulled a cart our for us and we were set to go. The course has a variety of tee boxes. I played from the gold and my wife used the reds. Each hole has an excellent picture which is great for first time players. My GPS had this course in it, so yardage was a breeze. The course has lots of elevation changes, water and sand. There are a couple of interesting and tricky holes for the first timer at the course. The fairways and greens were in excellent shape for this time of year. The only negatives were the cart path could use some repair and the tee box markers were a little hard to spot. I would definitely play this interesting and friendly course again. A great experience and value.
Impression of this course
Several courses are required to hit over the lake, so it's a little hard for the beginners. But generally well-designed and interesting course. I love to play here. However, hopefully, this course sets a driving range. I usually practice before the game starts, but this course has no place to practice, only pat-practice.
