Larkhaven Golf Club

Opened in 1958, Larkhaven Golf Course is one of the oldest public courses in Charlotte and it has remained one of the most popular. The course has a classic design with tight fairways lined with trees and small greens that are fast and sloped. It measures in at just over 6,700 yards from the back tees but it plays much longer thanks to the varied terrain. The layout is a challenging test that demands accuracy. It is a shot-maker's golf course where golfers will find that they need to use all of the clubs in their bag to handle the diverse elements that range from bump-and-runs to elevation drops of over 60 feet. Larkhaven Golf Course offers a variety of interesting holes that include drivable par 4s, risk-reward par 5s, and four particularly challenging par 3s.
